The video provides a series of drills designed to help children build strength, endurance, and confidence in the water. By practicing these techniques, swimmers can improve their control and movement. The drills are performed in the following order:
Flutter Kicks**: Focuses on keeping legs straight, kicking from the hips, pointing toes, and maintaining close leg proximity.
Freestyle Arms**: Teaches the arm motion for freestyle by reaching forward, pulling past the hip, and recovering the arm over the top.
Backstroke Arms**: Guides swimmers through lifting one arm overhead, reaching straight back, rotating in a circle, and pulling toward the hip.
Breaststroke with Side Kicks**: Combines breaststroke arm sweeps—pulling toward the chest and extending forward—with side-kicking on both the right and left sides to build balance.
Glide Pose**: Emphasizes a streamlined position with arms overhead, a long body, a tight core, and steady legs to move smoothly through the water.
Treading Arms**: Teaches the motion required to stay afloat in deep water using small, circular arm movements that push water down and sweep outward.
Butterfly Arms**: A powerful drill where both arms reach forward, pull down together past the hips, and perform a big recovery.
The video concludes by reminding swimmers to focus on smooth movements, balance, and stead y breathing to continue improving their skills.
